beebop - yes the no overtaking is the wooden bridge. Ironically the NT sign he destroyed was one warning NT visitors there might be moving vehicles in the area as it's near one of the entrances!

Gobi I don't think having a quiet word with someone running with bad manners is another example of bad manners. It's an ED taking steps, in private, to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable run on a Saturday morning.

This guy actually came to my attention at Tollcross on New Year's Day . Aficionados will know that the finish is downhill and on grass....The clown raced me all the way and beat me right on the line ,almost demolishing the funnel ( and its occupants ) in the process....The timer couldn't separate us in finishing times ! I believe that is more than mere bad manners ..

Zorba, sounds like he just got a bit carried away racing to the finish. Out of interest, what did you do? If he's passed you on the line then the buggy would've passed you earlier, so did you give him room or force him into the near collision with the funnel?

Sounds more like excessive enthusiasm than manners.

I've had a few folk take the hump at being passed by me and the buggy and be determined to finish ahead of us.

Personally if I took the buggy to Tollcross I would be easing off onto the grass, especially in this weather with it being a bit slippy.

However, on this occasion it's sounds like two runners determined to net let the other cross the line first and things got a bit crazy.
