parkrun pacing events

Krispy Jul 2019 10:26am, 5 Jul 2019 3 posts	0 Krispy I know, it's a run not a race, but pacing events at parkrun can be great, I often run as a pacer and people are delighted when they hit a long held target so I thought it might be an idea to post when there are upcoming pacing events in case people want to visit to get a time. I'll start: Stevenage parkrun in Hertfordshire 20th July

Some weeks are better covered than others - best to check their fb page before making a special trip. Requests for pacers tend to be made after other volunteer roles are filled - usually on Thursday or Friday. They tend to go odd one week, even the next. Some weeks have seen coverage from 22 - 36 minutes with all the evens in between, but I'd say that was the exception rather than the rule. Kettering (also Northamptonshire) have also had pacers on each time I have run there (just 3 times) but I can't tell if there is a scheme in place for them - the times seemed a bit random.
