Thanks, Bestwood was very pretty (I walked most of the hills). Hope to persuade friends to cone for a return visit (and will sample the cake and go on a tour of the old mine headstock building). Gedling has been suggested for next week...

Undulating as well...! 😂 (not as bad as Bestwood however). Would recommend adding Brierley (obvs) and Shipley if you're exploring other N.Notts runs for the future.

Bestwood is a bugger!

I managed to get my fastest parkrun in years at Southsea. 23.55. Its a busy one but they get people to line up in sections depending on predicted time which makes a huge difference.

Sandhurst with son and we both had decent runs. Hopefully my fitness will improve a bit and I can catch up to his WAVA score, as I'm only 1% down on him.

It was the first week of the alternate Whinlatter today, due to forestry work. Was advertised as harder than the normal route and definitely felt it 🥵
