On my way to Roma Pineto parkrun

Wish I'd seen this earlier - I'd have asked you to say Hi to Jenny for me :) (She usually gives the first timer's briefing in both English and Italian)

Hand in a sandwich bag HB? 😆

Indeed - it works really well and also acts as a somewhat inadequate glove

Just done my 50th parkrun of the year, which is the first time I’ve managed that. Running hasn’t been great for me this year, but parkrun has kept me going in its own way, and I’ve enjoyed it. Been very lucky to have done 5 new countries for me this year too, partly due to a trip in the van in the summer, and got to my 250 milestone too, and 50 locations. Won’t be as many next year mind, but all being well I’ll get one or two in when we’re in Japan for Tokyo marathon. We’ll see though as I’ve promised OH that if we happen to be nowhere near one, I won’t hastily make plans to get to one.

Been to some great ones this year, but also done a lot at my local too, as I’ve done that 141 times in total, and it’s their 7 year anniversary on NYD. I do volunteer for other organisations (Samaritans, plus I do quite a lot behind the scenes for my running club, both of which I enjoy, but means that my ‘volunteer time budget’ is a bit restricted), but I will try and do more volunteering next year as I’ve only done 3 this year I think, all at Juniors. If I want to run as well I can possibly opt for the first timers briefing or similar, as I’ve done that a couple of times I think.

A few of the other local parkruns were off today , as a result we had our highest attendance at Oriam for four years.

57.5 Days of Xmas
Iced off here. Nice to Have run and be back home with a coffee instead of shivering still handing out finish tokens. 57dop. That looks like the park I ran in when in Rome. There was a parkrun but I wasn’t there for a Saturday.
Northwest of the city with a fine view of St Peter's?
