@Cerrertonia - thanks - that will affect AG going forward!

@alehouse very close call - I ventured out in the car for the first time today to get supplies - clear main roads but everything else was frozen snow and ice. On the cleared roads folk had parked up to avoid getting stuck in the side streets and so the already narrow clear

@NZD I admire your desire to resist the temptation of the goodies on offer on your route tot he HM - you couldn't have made it much harder for yourself :-)!
That last run hopefully puts you in a better state of mind, and often that is what is needed for a HM. No chance of sweating here!

@OO61 well done on getting out there - I can understand the reluctance of others to do likewise

@EarlyRiser I realised I hadn't finished on intervals/reps but will return to it - your planned race looks "interesting"

I did a couple of miles on Sunday during the worst of the snow - it was already 6" deep but dry and quite enjoyed it. Thereafter it has been horrendous, alternatively thawing slightly and then freezing hard so anywhere not cleared of snow is an ice rink and that is virtually everywhere!
Took a taxi to the hospital, had my customary poke in the eye with a sharp needle, and then walked the 2.2 miles home and every step on the pavements was on ice, even in the town centre.

I have given up on the running until things get better as it is just not safe enough to run on the cleared roads and the pavements are impossible.

Wordle in six today threes previously.

Conditions were worse today for my post work run. A mile was enough! Work has been open all week but it is becoming increasingly difficult to access the site due to a very steep, ungritted, road which is the only access; reluctantly they are closing tomorrow. -7 this morning and -9 or lower forecast for overnight. With no work tomorrow I might manage a slightly longer run around some snowy playing fields! Didn't park the mile away from work today as had too many bags to carry.

Wordle in six, also.
