@alehouse, nice. Enjoy while it lasts!
@Torque Steer wow, impressive 81/111 HR. Don't thick I have every been that low. Garmin rating not altogether surprising 🙂.
@Canute well done on patiently sticking to plan and succeeding so well. Do be careful with the fell jogging though (as I am sure you will be).

First outing this morning since race on Sunday. Steady 8.3k 'recovery' circuit of the estuary at 6:20/km average (HR 120/131). Still a way to go to get b/km back down to 720 or better :(.

Argh, 'thick' of course should be 'think', and 'every' should be 'ever'! Lack of even short term edit functionality a touch frustrating at times.

Argh (again)! I see there is an 'entirely flat' 10k race coming up, and not all that far from here: hobsonville.werun.nz

Alas, I will be in Japan on work then :(

Of course, on past performance, would need to check exactly what 'entirely flat' actually is! Same promoter as the Run Orewa event last Sunday.

@NZD - I wasn't moving very fast :-)

Thick typing fingers a bit like mine!

Shame about your Japan trip interfering with the "flat" 10K...

@Canute - excellent work. Beware of uneven surfaces however as you extend your range, it's those slight changes in level and grip that can throw one's knee out again.

Perfect running morning today - mild, sunny, no wind - but instead I perambulated a couple of miles to prove that my knee was indeed still sore.

Quiet day

I find myself even quieter with a streaming cold and really rough sore throat so very little talking!

Wordle in six after getting the last four letters in place after two!

Oh no. Hope it clears up quickly @Torque Steer

Up 'early' but still undecided whether to do parkrun 6 days after the 10k race...?

Feel OK but not certain the legs are up to pushing hard yet. They didn't like it when I did one 6 days after my HM in January.

Decided to do the parkrun at last minute (partly as others from Sunday's race were there, so my excuses got thinner!). Quads a bit leaden during 3k warm up but OK in the parkrun itself. A bit quicker than I expected (24:48)

24:48 is very creditable @NZD.

@Torque Steer you have certainly have had your fair share of challenges recently. Hope you feel better soon.

Nice parkrunning and recovery @NZD

Sounds lovely @alehouse

I am maintaining between races but definitely slipping off my peak but that's okay and expected. I am looking forward to just plodding again in a few weeks time 😊
