On the popularity of Superstars, Wilkinson sponsored about a dozen sports centres around the country to hold a Superstars-like competition between local companies. The winning team won a sword (obviously). I have two runners up trophies from the one in my then local sports centre (79 and 80). As I recall it the teams were mixed and did, swimming relays, 5 a side football, gym tests, running relays, basketball, and badminton |

Watching 'Monday Night Football' in the US. They still use the Superstars theme tune.

What about Kickstart and Junior Kickstart on the BBC too. Would so watch all of these programmes mentioned above over reality, cooking or politics any day of the week! |

Exactly that, @ho, ho, honestmackem 🎅🏼 . Reality TV but with people who have actually done something significant, doing something competitive and real. That would be so much better than getting nobodies on telly to do nothing, which seems to go over really well these days.

Definitely up for that! Modern tv is not good, very repetitive and not for us |

And it annoys me that you have to pay a tv licence but then you also then end up paying other providers to watch tv because the free tv is poor We have sky as MrPix likes the sport but we don’t have the other paid for services When I was working so many times I’d get …. You watched x? It’s on y service |

Kickstart was amazing. It led to real developments in the sport.
