We had an infamous Christmas lunch at 9pm one year having seriously underestimated cooking time for our huge turkey, which was eventually served up in a giant frying pan. We had tea before lunch

We flew to Las Vegas on Christmas day in 2010. Flying on Christmas day was great fun and added an extra few hours to the day. Think we left the uk at about 10am and landed some time early afternoon their time. Its a long time ago so my memory might be incorrect on the exact timing. Couldn't tell you what time we actually ate our "Christmas dinner"! ππ

We spent Christmas Day 2013 in the Arctic Circle on a cruise. Despite an outside temperate of around -20β, it seemed like a wizard wheeze to go for a pre-dinner swim in the (heated) outdoor swimming pool. At around 3pm. In total darkness. Apart, of course, from the Northern Lights. I remember the crew putting on quite a show for dinner, but, sadly, don't recall much about the actual food. |

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) wrote: Well of course going out is posh so it's dinner. Similarly kids might come to tea but adults would be invited to dinner to have their tea.
But if you go out to dine in the evening, do you go out to dinner or tea? |
