No it makes me wish I had something more exciting for breakfast than a bowl of cereal. Grilled lamb's kidneys anyone?

My Mum used to buy and cook ox tongue too. I like it. I rarely buy sliced cooked meats but my favourite is Lunch Tongue, which I think is pig's tongue?

We were given tongue in sandwiches and as part of a salad. I never liked it.
I still laugh when I recall a comedian saying “how can you eat something and know that whilst you’re tasting it, it’s tasting you back!” Yuck 😂

Kippers
Man, I haven't kippers since I was tiny, tiny. Sheesh, I used to love a smoked kipper on toast.

Kippers are great; if you want to be eating them all day. Fantastic breakfast with good brown bread and salty butter

Love kippers - but only 'boneless' ones.

(In inverted commas because they never are - there's always a bit of bone, and toast, not bread needed!)
Followed by toast and marmalade to stop the taste of kippers all day (as per DT)
They also need to be 'boil in the bag' type, otherwise I get moaned at for the smell.

Although smoked haddock with poached eggs beats kippers.

Corned Beef - I was shocked when in US, I had corned beef in a restaurant meal. It was real meat, not the stuff in cans. Like 6 inch strips of brisket (or other roast joints) in a gravy stew and presumably, cooked or hormoned to hell, because it was very tender and fell apart.
