I worked in a pub in 1977 and we served some cracking bar meals ... triangles of fish and chips; ravioli (Heinz from tin with a dash of tobacco and black pepper); macaroni cheese (see ravioli above!) and chicken curry (rehydrated like Vesta!). They were very popular though ... I remember knocking out over 100 meals in one lunchtime when I was the only one in the kitchen (thank you microwave and deep fat fryer!) ... just wish I could remember how much we charged 🤔
