I've never tried either but they were a thing back in the day. (I'm shit at drinking so never really did any heavy duty efforts at it. Normally Stones or Wards but the local was Teltleys boy that could clear you out. In town it was Newcastle Brown in a bottle in the wap (rock/bikers pub under a posh hotel) or in a can in rebels (rockers bar above some shops Burtons I think) Later in Weston-Super-Mare whilst doing my RAF trade training it was scrumpy in the Legion before clubbing
