However, I have got to the stage in a couple of my Duolingo languages where sometimes when I hear an exercise sentence with my eyes closed, in my mind I can "see" images of the meaning instead of hearing the words and then translating them. It is said that learning a language helps to keep an old brain young and healthy.

To those two, I would add dancing because of the brain ability required to remember the sequences, time them with the music, interact with other dancers getting yourselves in the right positions relative to them, and putting various parts of your body in the correct shapes.
