Ness
Jealous, Gobi. When I first started teaching I lived in Brierley Hill with Mr Ness. Actually before he became Mr Ness! ๐๐ We loved visiting a particular restaurant near to us. Think it was called The Crystal Balti? Wordsley? Might be wrong about that. It was many years ago!

I didn't know you could still get Vesta curries, I shall have to hunt one down to give the kids a giggle - but those crispy puffing up things were lovely
The curry house in St Albans used to collect pints from the pub for us, not sure that was completely within the "unlicensed" premises rules.
I could eat a good curry now - spag bol for dinner isn't quite the same.

I had curry from a microwave sachet last night. Bought in Home Bargains, made by Mars (yes, that Mars), but actually genuinely Indian.

I remember Vesta chow mein. Easy-cook instant food that required two pots plus a chip pan for a single serving.

(Single serving ? It went round three here. Besides, everyone had a chip pan permanently to hand, usually ready-filled with fat, in them days.)
