Nothing wrong with a mild, fragrant, creamy curry with sultanas and almonds.
I often go down the Korma route rather than anything that might be hotter coming out than going in.

...and even when I go for a hotter curry, my naan of choice is Peshwari.

Many years ago, I made the mistake of trusting a recommendation from a colleague and ordering the "special" curry from the Dilshad in Selly Oak, which was the go-to restaurant for hospital staff at the time. I was horrified to get a mild coconutty curry full of raisins, pineapple and banana. It was like a pudding.
(I also can't be doing with peshwari naan. Similar reason. WTF is all that sweet stuff about?)

I have no problem with sweet stuff in my savoury dishes. Look closely at my* duck salad from last week and you will see peaches. Bloody lovely it was.
* I say mine, but Mrs Nico cooked it. It was a Tom Kerridge recipe.

Yes, these days I avoid anything sweet with my curry. Have done since uni days in Bradford where I majored in pub and curry house studies. I used to eat my curry using chapattis. I've never been keen on naan bread.

I used to go to one in Leeds where you got your pint in the pub over the road and took it in the curry-house. Someone from the pub would come around later to collect the empties.

I learned my basic curry eating in Bradford, my home city. My older cousin used to take me to places where chapatis were the only cutlery, and you really wouldn't want to know what was in the keema. I then continued my curry education as a student in Leicester. Still here. Not sure I could live anywhere that didn't have a bazillion curry places. Don't mind the odd bit of sweetness in a curry.
I don't mind the taste of coconut, but don't like the texture. I have a similar issue with pineapple.
And I didn't know you could still get Vesta curries!
