I wonder if, as you get older, your tolerance levels for rubbish TV get higher, to prepare you for those extra five years in the care home your healthy lifestyle has gifted you?

I'm not a fan of DIP unless I need an afternoon nap in which case it's go to telly, unless F1 is on. On the subject of rubbish curry sauce my 80's catering course text book has a generic curry recipe with sultanas and almonds, it's the sort of offering you'd get if you were the awkward one at a Bernie steak house in '89.
