Married in 1995.
No kids.
Still married! We were planning to be on a cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary in August. It hasn’t been cancelled yet but I don’t expect it to happen.

I ran a bit at uni in 80-83 then it faded when started work. I still remember, very out of shape, finishing a 10 mile club race in 84 or 85 in 88 minutes. I was second last and they were clearing up the finish area before I got there. That pretty much finished my running for nearly 30 years. How times (and attitudes) have changed!!

Since this “is” a running thread here’s one of me (in front of 118 😂). Piccadilly Marathon, Manchester, June 1982 (4:26 and a bit). I started running when I lived in Haverhill and had to retire from football. I didn’t get in to “the” marathon (first one) so went back up north to do one. I remember my long Sunday runs out along the A604 to (and beyond) Linton and back!

It has been scientifically proven that people run away from Haverhill faster than they run towards it.

Just come back in from running to and from Horseheath, macca. You certainly wouldn't run along the road from Haverhill to Linton these days, not even during lockdown. There's a new foot & cycle path that mostly goes alongside the road from Linton to Cambridge though.
