Derby Tup
I used to spend hours standing on one leg either on the floor or on a wobble board. Iโ€™m hopeless at press ups

I can stand up and sit down without using my hands but then I teach infants so I sit on the floor a lot (and get up a lot too). I can't stand on one leg very well at all any more because of my wonky feet.

Dvorak
I now have a perhaps slightly odd image of Derby Tup standing on one leg. For hours. Just ... because.

I've now tried sitting down and standing up without using knees or hands. Down - ok. Up - nope. Since I am in a car park, someone asked if I was ok :-) If longevity depends on press-up ability: I'm f*cked.

I am in a car park in a gloriously sunny Linwood as I'm waiting to recover enough leg power post parkrun to propel a bicycle. Nearly there. The park run btw was fantastic - fastest in I don't know how long :-)

Thatโ€™s properly weird Vโ€™rap. At least one of the two of us is doing something wrong somewhere.

Hopeless at press ups. Standing on one leg has been improved greatly with yoga as has the standing up/sitting down thing. ( I'm walking round a ruinied abbey and waited till no one was watching before trying)

I have a strong suspicion that the influencing factor for me is that when I do press-ups I'm not worried about stapling myself with a barbell.

That made me lol, Dvorak :-)

I couldn't even do one full press-up at the start of the year, so decided to try NDWDave's 5001 press-up challenge, I started off on my knees but can now do sets of 4 on my toes. Still tough but slow progress is being made.

I can't do proper press-ups. Knee ones, on the other hand, seem to be too easy. So I do press-ups on the arm of a chair (rather than the floor) and log them on the aforesaid 5001 challenge. I have worked downwards to the chair-arm from a series of higher levels, but can't seem to get any lower.
