We used to play "five stones" , or dabs as some called them, in the playground, when I was at Primary School. A similar craze was "Jacks" which was played with a small rubber ball, and metal stars, for want of a better description.

Chuckies! During chuckie season, kids who had a set of jacks were everyone's best friend, but trying to find five suitably-shaped stones was an eternal quest.

I spent hours playing jacks. Loved that.
And marbles on the drain cover at the back of the house.

Jacks, marbles and lastics - a length of white sewing elastic, sown into a loop that 2 people stood in and stretched out whilst a third did skipping and jumping in the middle

On a smaller scale, using a loop, there was Cat's Cradle, done on two hands.

I remember doing cats cradle with string. It went from one person to another, who took it off your hands. ☺

Lip Gloss
So was ours V'rap, or marbles were called dazzies. We also played 'balls' - 2 tennis balls up against the wall whilst reciting rhymes
