I didn't really fancy running today when I looked out at the flurries of snow and my partner told me how cold it was outside. Told myself not to be such a wuss a bit later so have just got back from a 5ml run. Annoyingly, that included some walking bits as although my legs were okay, I was struggling to catch my breath.

It was really cold and windy today but needed a long run, bailed at 14 instead of the 16 but my legs were just knackered from the side on gales

Well done for running today, WtnMel and Lip Gloss. I chickened out and am regretting it now. Two local races have been cancelled tomorrow, the Eastleigh 10k and Fleet half marathon.

I'm still trying to persuade myself to go out and do a longish run.

Go and do a longish run, V'rap ;-).

I'm considering riding my bike round in circles* for a bit. Sun's oot :-). As is the snow, periodically (including much of parkrun). As I have a race in two weeks and a sore foot, I'm trying to cycle to fitness. (Though anyone looking at my training might wonder if I should be cycling a bit further, then.)

*The local industrial estate: more of an oval, really. A handy, slightly tilted, 1100m.

Me too LD. Don't think I have ever worn so many to run in! Apparently we had a wind chill factor of -6 with the wind coming straight off the North Sea.

I'm not doing my 20 miles race tomorrow - not because of the weather but other reasons ;-).

I did go out for a short very slow run in this morning's light snow, and as I've got a very snug warm jacket I needed to wear only 2 shirts underneath :-). I've just cycled to the local bike shop - and it's still snowing, not much though :-).

A few snow flurries here but nothing lying. But oh! It's a horrible cold wind.
