Fantastic warm sunny afternoon in Capernwray, absolute millpond and 4 comfortable laps is probably my longest ever swim. Weather looks like it’s about to turn too.

Bloody hell, I've never been to Capernwray and every summer I promise myself I'm going to do it. My old Tri club train there and as a "distant" member I never went.
Right, next week. Was it wetsuit temp jda?

Several people in skins and it was the warmest I can remember (though not actually too hot). I always wear a big fat buoyant wetsuit though, it makes such a huge difference to my swimming.

Used to swim in Capernwray 30+ years ago when it was just a disused quarry, we'd walk from the Hall when on holiday there. Thinking back tombstoning off the sides and night swims probably weren't the best of ideas!!

FRU- I went with an Orca entry level suit and it's been great for 3 seasons, still going strong. The size guide is annoying because for height I am an XS but for weight and chest I am an S. I went with S and it's been great. I sent for 4 wetsuits from wiggle, tried them at home and sent 3 back. they did courier service which was great. I was lucky to have savings to cover the outlay for 4, but knew I'd get refunds on 3 and they did an efficient job on it all.

I like Orca and Huub.
There’s a LOT of choice these days. Also look at buoyancy. My Orca 3.8 is generally a bit too buoyant for my swimming, but it served me well swimming longer distances in the sea. I’ve recently bought a Huub which is designed for swimmers (as opposed to triathletes) so has a lot less artificial buoyancy added to the lower end. And I’ve just bought a larger (thinner) Orca because lockdown lard!!

As Katie says, chest and weight are better indicators of size.

Orca seem to work well for people like me with a normal sized body but teeny tiny legs.

Wetsuits can be as much a personal choice as trainers FRU.
Generally sizing should be based on your height and then weight rather than silly women's dress sizes.
I really liked my Aquashere wetsuit as a good starting point and they were reasonably priced, but I just upgraded to a Huub which is so much more comfortable on my skin and easier to get on.
Some discussion on one of my local OW Facebook thread from 'voluptuous' types suggest the following are worth checking out: Lomo Yonda Blue Seventy Athena range
