I still want to get one, but with minimal buoyancy for swimming mainly breaststroke- think I’ll go for the thinnest Alpkit one, but don’t want to stay the size I am at the moment- so leaving it for a month more to see if I can lose a couple of inches

If like me you're smaller on top you can always put a t-shirt on underneath to fill in the gaps. I'm pear-shaped so anything that fits over my @rse tends to be loose on top ;-)

I'm actually very glad that it's so warm that I can swim skins, couldn't face failing to get into my wetsuit with my lockdown weight gain :-o

I like Orca too. I've never been accused of having teeny tiny legs, but now I might go away and develop a complex about it, thanks Greg :-(

I still have an original Orca speedsuit in the attic, well past its use-by date. Use an Orca Sonar nowadays.

I have been eyeing up a DHB sleeveless wetsuit. I don't need it but I have some leftover birthday money....so....

I’m really pleased. I thought I was fat, but it turns out I’ve just got short legs. Thanks Greppers!! :)

I just went to Decathlon for my wet suit. Low end, low price, but I wasn't sure I'd get the value out of a more expensive one, and it suits my needs.

I recently bought one from eBay for my youngest, who comes swimming with me sometimes and would normally just hire a suit at the venue. Obviously hiring is not happening right now, and he wasn't comfortable without, so I said I'd get him one. He's tall-medium, so a bit more difficult to buy for without trying them on. He didn't want the original ones I looked at as he didn't want me spending too much money, so I ended up getting one suitable for swimming and surfing, which was cheaper, but still fit for purpose, somewhere in the Β£30-40 region.

I love mine but it was chosen for being tall/thin/buoyant so hardly a recommendation! My wife bought a couple to test for size and kept the best. Which the supplier was totally ok with (forget who, think it was a swimming specialist rather than wiggle tho).

I have returned to both Wiggle and Alpkit this season and both were problem free

There didn't seem to be a thread devoted to open water swimming, so I thought I'd start one.
