The whiteboard at my local lake said 19.3°C yesterday, but they lied, my fingertips said "less than 18" and I climbed out after two 1km laps! I am a bit of a wuss with poor circulation, but I was also aware I still had to cycle home, cold and damp, before it got too dark. I may make another evening session next week, but I think that'll be my lot for this season. I've done more open water swimming this summer than ever before, 15 sessions and +40km overall, quite a bit of it without a wetsuit in the high summer, it's been great.
