I have an indistinct memory of reading that a drop of washing up liquid inside goggle lenses stops them from steaming up - is this true, or has anyone got better ideas? I never realised before how much my goggles steam up, because it doesn’t matter in a pool, but between that and my short sight I couldn’t see the marker buoys in the lake (pond...) yesterday evening. The friend I was with did a great job as human guide dog, but I couldn’t try crawl as she doesn’t... Not sure I can either at the moment, but won’t get better if I don’t try. Also, water at 22 degrees got a bit chilly for me after an hour of relaxed breaststroke, although it sounds warm! Very breezy, though. |

I bought some defogger and it's brilliant. Well worth the investment. I have the Zoggs one - it's like a pen.

I got a little spray free with my prescription goggles, but I think washing up liquid works too.

I wouldn't like to use washing up liquid, that would sting, no? I use a tiny smear of Baby Shampoo (and rinse my googles as I get in the water). Works a treat. |

I use a drop of washing up liquid in old goggles that go foggy, rinse & leave to dry. It works, I’m also to try baby shampoo, just haven’t yet. I don’t know Linda Ashmore but as she’s in my age category I’m very aware of her 😂 & just read her lovely channel blog on the wbss (Weymouth bay sea swimmers) Facebook page. Not sure if I can send the link. Amazing, & the waiting around/weather delays that then affect favourable tides must be horrible. |

Just read that blog. Awesome - she actually manages to downplay just how awesome a feat that is!
