The very same, Rich.

And thanks for the blog, ferret. What an amazing athlete.

If you rinse it out well, works like magic, but I think the magic culprit ingredient, that causes the grief, won’t be used again, without it any anti fog that I’ve tried is a useless waste of money.

Building up for my 10km Hurly Burly Swim in North Wales at the end of Sept.
So far I’ve done a long swim of 3k, 4k, 4.5k, 5k and today 6k in various conditions (today was great, last week was very choppy).

Site website suggests maximum training swim of 8k then taper, but don’t think I’ll make it past 7k next weekend.
Looks like a cracking event suggested by katieb so thanks for that:)

Agree it looks brilliant fun, but a bit too much fun for me. Weather luck to you :-) Training distance sounds fine - familiarity with choppy waves is very useful!

I'm not an OW swimmer (yet) but thought you all might like to know that this week's book of the week on Radio 4 is the memoire of the youngest person ever to swim the English Channel. First episode was yesterday: bbc.co.uk .

Well done, Jules, your training is going well. I trained to 5km for the Swoosh (6km) which was what the website suggested and I think I probably would have been fine on 4km training. As I understand it the Hurly Burly is a very strong current, so I would think that 7km is going to be fine, not that I really have enough knowledge to say so. Really looking forward to your report, I am hoping to do this next year. :-)

I heard that, sk. Thanks! It was a brilliant counterpoint to the blog that ferret posted.
