Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

October: onwards! To half time and beyond.

Did ok. Did slow jogging 4 times a week up to 54 minutes. Meditated everyday. Read one book, which ain’t great, but it needed the level of concentration I’m not so good at anymore as it was Zen Buddhist book translated from Medieval Japanese into English by a German translator.

I did loads in October! First online tutorials, saw ds1 off to uni, went on some beautiful walks (need to blog last one), made new friends, had a great adventure race, and decided November is going to be namowrimo month as otherwise lockdown 2 will be just too fucking grim.
And planted nearly all my bulbs, just 15 tulips to go!

Swimming targets might be tricky in lockdown. Perhaps I can have a yoga challenge instead, although I guess the lake might stay open.

I would rate myself as 'pretty good'* for October. Finally shook off what was making me tired and dizzy all the time so back to being properly active. I did lots of social stuff and going into the winter with a wee group of people to bike, climb, walk and paddle with. Getting out there and taking a couple of chances (despite fear of rejection) has made me more confident and that's led to more opportunities. Thanks Sharkie - I'm in for an extension.

*edit once I've written the post to 'bloody excellent'

Swim and run targets smashed
Weight achieved last week then I dived head first into a big flunk and finished not much under where I started 🙄

I’m not quite sure how I did in October. I started learning some weightlifting technique, that was fun. No more of that for the moment though.

I still have not found my maps. On the other hand, first SDW walk in the diary for the weekend after next.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
As promised - a carry on doing stuff thread.

Not a typo above. Half term is too early in the month and end of month Halloween is over promoted anyway. Half time can mean whatever you want it too and BE whenever you want it to be.
