I asked both RM and Evri to leave our parcels in the back porch recently. Their apps confirmed the 'safe place' had been registered.
Then when we were away, Evri sent me a photo of *three* parcels, two from RM and the Evri one, left on the front door step. Luckily son1 was able to come over and put them indoors.

Last year my in laws weren’t getting post (missed 2 hospital appointments)
They called RM who said postie was in holiday!

Anyway I’m up and off to Tesco soon

Oh and re postage we're only sending minimal things now, essentials only.

Friend of MrPix got a job with rm and left after 2 week due to the mess that was. Couldn’t even tell him his shift times

My postie friend goes on holiday and all of the post is waiting for her on return. It’s impossible.

Our local RM posties are excellent. The couriers are alright once the parcels actually get to them.

We're only having problems with Evri in my neighbourhood at the moment. RM are brilliant and my preferred delivery option. I don't have a 'safe place' so he/she/they always ring the doorbell and hand me the goods.

Run done, bitterly cold wind 🥶

our solicitor was in our local town too!! They didnt even tell us they were posting them or I would have gone. Had that person not being diligent in telling us we'd never have known they'd been sent and gone missing.

Awaiting a couple of parcels... one for the dog so less important another for Mr gg, both showing dispatched but stalled. Both say they are UK companies but the gift for Mr gg (on further investigation) was coming from the fecking Netherlands and is on its way through customs. I ordered because it was a UK company. Similarly I saw a ring from a company I've followed on FB, she's closing and selling stock off - ordered it and the update is its coming from China - its a bloody minefield out there.

ION, I ran this morning, it is my perfect kind of winter morning, very still & crisp, zero wind, clear sky with stars and an almost full moon lighting the way. I was so tempted to just keep going but work was calling. Cup of tea #1 and a long to do list!

Have run. Attempted intervals but it was hampered by heavy showers. Thawed out now. Waiting for Mr Ness to get up and then will have breakfast.

missed most of yesterday's mundanity - had a day at mum's, drove home in weather and fell asleep on the sofa.

need to get moon in gear as black circles have just reminded me my car is getting new boots today, not tomorrow as I had thought.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
