Actually, now I think of it, I think I remember Maz talking of the chalet books before.
Back early from our day out. Time for a cup of tea then down to the pool to watch the sunset.

Struggling to get going this morning. 2 late nights, a sauna/cold dip, lots of dancing and some climbing has left me tired and achy.

I read some of the chalet school books, but they were so far away from my own school experience I never really fell in love with them. I did have an Enid Blyton phase, but it was quite short-lived. I preferred the Jill pony books - can't remember the author though!

My favourite were the Lorna Hill books: mix of boys & girls, ballet at Sadlers Wells in term time and ponies in Northumbria in the holidays - totally outside my interests and experience (mum didn't approve of Blyton, so I didn't read them until T13 was small)
