Thought I'd add my pbs to the little race bit...then ended up adding some memorable ones on top. Now I'm 106 in and might as well get them all on over time Noticed some random 82min 10k I hadn't done had found its way onto my po10, so that'll be requested to be scorched out of dodge. 13 for me today. Felt a right scorcher. Probably a lot down to how it's been fairly mild this summer, as it "probably" wasn't over 20 degrees. Think it was one of those odd 17/18 but "feeling" like 20s they say. Could feel the light lips dehydration near the end but essentially comfy at 7.35 average. Kept it fairly flat though - no need for heroics! 64mile week, first one over 60 for 8 weeks, albeit a couple just under 60. |

I have a couple of mile races just under 80%, so that'll have to be the long term aim - bank an 80% Tuesday's 17.53 5k was 76:80, and Feb's 6 second quicker one was 77:23 If Tuesday's race had been on Friday that'd have been the 77:38 To hit 80% needs a notch under 17.18 which will need a real step up from the current, but hopefully can meander downwards over a few more summer turnouts. |

Looks like you are really leaning into some of the Fetch features, @stevieg. Good stuff. Would other distances offer a greater change of the 80% WAVA? Hope you had a good birthday. @Foppotee what is the time required for Kona or is it also AG placing? Yes - hills unavoidable. Got to embrace them, I guess. Did feel remarkably stronger by the end of the week and could actually do a recovery run. Something in it, I guess. Race result/report @Muddyfunster? There remains a dearth of operational EV chargers in Cornwall, so on Friday, I repeated last year’s classic of taking the car to Tesco at 0605, sticking it on the painfully slow PodPoint, heading off for a long run and returning in time to buy some baked goods before escaping the 2h parking limit. Incredible route with a mix of everything: roads, hills, trails, views and more. 1400ft ascent over the 13ish miles. Opted to wear some Tracksmith half tight shorts I got as a freebie a while ago. There is a suitably angled zipped pocket which securely fits key and phone, as well as more open pockets for dextrose, gels etc. The run was coming to a close with only a couple of miles left, albeit with a significant climb to come. As I made way wash along the South West Coast Path, through a good path very high above the sea, but safe enough with thick vegetation on both sides, the generally damp conditions led to my phone making a call to my emergency contact (my wife). As I pulled it out to cancel the call, I heard something bounce on the floor. My car key - idiot!!!! Had a look for half an hour along the 2-3 metre section it should have been within, but it really was a case of having to go further and further into the vegetation on the cliff edge. It was all starting to feel like the beginning of an episode of 999, so cut my losses. Called my wife, and of course the spare key had been left (by me) in the car. Called the breakdown service who were fairly scathing on the phone, but yes, would be there very soon. Tempoed by way back up the hill not to keep them waiting, but of course they weren’t there. I suppose Tesco isn’t the worse place to be stuck for a couple of hours, and various staff were helpful with charging my phone, attempting to sort out the incoming parking fine etc. Blood sugar level was starting to rise, and of course the insulin pump was in the car. AA man arrives and is ridiculously kind and helpful. Pulls out various contraptions and promptly picks the lock in minutes. No damage - slightly concerning really! Anyway, not the most popular man in the family for largely ruining the final day of holiday, but at least I didn’t fall on a cliff. Short recovery run the next morning before leaving and another upon our return. Felt in fairly good nick to be honest. Have drunk every night, but haven’t overeaten - something I definitely struggle with at work. Easy and strides today, 7 x 100 (300) around the grass track. 60 for the week which feels right with the holiday and an incoming race. Will keep it very short and easy tomorrow before Tuesday night’s hillyish 10k. |

Undulating 10K @Sorequads Bad luck on the comedy of errors culminating in key loss - replacement key's going to be pricey too Lets hope you can win a prize on Tuesday. No running since CWR til Friday when I did 5K progressive then 4x100 off 300 for 4M@7:36 average. Not the best way to prepare for a decent parkrun so unsurprisingly mediocre time. Sluggish first K but got going on the climb & came in 4th with 21:35! Daughter's wedding yesterday afternoon so no running today either. I've definitely got a lot lazier the last year or two. |

Congratulations to your daughter, @Forrest Jooligan. I think you can be forgiven for not running on the day. Fingers crossed no other V40s turn up on Tuesday and a prize of a replacement Skoda key that would be even more random than @stevieg’s pot plants 😝. |

I’ve fixed the 40 min 10 miler you had in for 2006. 107% wava kinda stood out 😀 |

@Sorequads that is some mad stuff. And always the fear of putting other stuff in with a key. I avoided that the last time I ran with gels by using 2 pockets as didn't trust any clumarsery. Would have no chance of hitting 80% the higher the distance goes. Would need to get back into 1mile mode and hope to drill one there. @Windsor Wool ta, I was checking the wava and numbers every so often but was fairly drilling through at pace at times.. corrected a few myself. Noticed po10 of has one of my 5ks on the wrong date, but most importantly is removing a random Rutland 10k! |

@Forrest Jooligan the old you would have smashed a 10miler in the morning. I remember weasling out of a pal's wedding once as the schedule had a double on. In fairness it has gone dark, loud and dancey by then which is always my cue to leave |
