Apparently women didn't have these issues in the past because they weren't working (so much) and so didn't have so much stress. Honestly, it's an embarrassment. I'm looking for someone to complain to. I'll stop now.

I’m irritated by the small bits you’ve shared LindsD. As tokenistic gestures go it sounds particularly shit.

I was saying to a work colleague today that if this was a male problem, it wouldn't stay a problem for long. After not having proper periods for years with being on the pill (& being lucky enough to never really suffer badly during totm), I'm struggling big time with the cramps after getting the Mirena fitted on Monday. |

@LindsD Why, if someone is presenting to an academic audience who will be really picky with evidence bases, would they not do at least do a smidge of historical research to avoid looking a bit clueless?

Imagine a condition that caused a man to miss 1-2 days of work every month, would they be told to ‘get on with it’ or would there be some way of treating it. Seeing a Dr saying online that periods that are that severe is NOT NORMAL was really shocking, why weren’t we told before? |

@idle_wilder they should ease off soon. Try a hot water bottle and paracetamol.
