Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Having the ability (or power) to edit/correct is great, isn't it?

Yes it really is, I hope it’s easy with bigger changes as well. If they occur.

Um, are you good at this?
Ive been trying to get some roads and paths be connectable so you can do "follow road" Also since yesterdays addition OSM seems glitchy and shows my new addition just in different zoom levels and so on. Maybe it will update it self in time?

Good? I wouldn't say that, but I've been through it with a few local paths crossing under railway lines. It can take time for a change to populate through direct OSM servers (up to a week or so) and up to 4-6 weeks for 'devolved' servers - eg where a site keeps & updates it's own copy.

Two things I found tricky were
- the list of 'allowed access' abnd making sure that covers all, or whatever, and if not all, that the host you're going through is matching the call, eg if 'foot' or 'bike' only and not 'all', are you sure the host call isn't a default 'car' or 'all'?
- path connections, making sure they overlap/connect properly

And sometimes, if you think you've done it, you can't see any issues, you just have to be patient and wait. And hope!

But please feel free to send me a location, and I can have a play. And if you want, fmail or here, send me your OSM name and I'll see if I can see your edit.

Bowman - you may want to look at OSM ... seems a week is long enough for the route finding servers ...

Does anyone use ViewRanger? I’ve been using it for years and have quite a lot of OS maps to use offline. It’s now being shutdown and being transferred to Outdooractive and to me it’s a load of rubbish. I’m annoyed that I’m unable to see any of my maps that I have bought…

have you noticed this on the outdoor active app front page recently? May be a chance to get your paid for maps reinstated? I assume they’ve been having a lot of complaints?
