Maps are ace - the French IGN blue ones are big faves in this house. Any part of going to France on holiday involves buying some of them for the region.

I love a map (another orienteer ). There was a recent blog post (or was it a forum thread) that got me to dash4it.co.uk yesterday. I spent much time there wondering which map I might buy

McG, we have a similar bookcase. Shedloads of OS maps, plus walking guides, over 50 climbing guidebooks and various mountaineering instruction books and environmental /geological stuff! Turtle age 6 can read OS maps no problem!

Absolutely love maps. Being marooned in the Fens when a contour is a rarity looking at maps keeps me sane.
