Lots of map lovers who aren't orienteers?? Does not compute. Prescription: fetcheveryone.com/forum/fetch-orienteers-13593/ |

Foz I'm both a long time orienteer (close on 40 years) and a map lover but the two aren't neccessarily inclusive for many reasons.

Very impressed that McG has a huge guide book to the small Devon village of Beer.

I love maps (and couldn’t imagine ever throwing one away), but have zero interest in orienteering

I've just removed all my OS maps from the living room. The fact is I only look at maps online now. Upstairs I still have a number of OS 1" maps. My parents used to some extent to refer to areas by their OS map number, and a common cry was "Where's 101?" which was our local one. I expect I have one of those. |

We have a load of paper OS maps too which are redundant as it’s all on line but I doubt we will get rid of them.
