Currently on the way to my third rugby training this week, which I anticipate will be slightly less hard hitting as we have a game tomorrow. Haven't got a ball with me, though.

Sunday will be long run day, rest on Monday.

Was about ask if you were climbing ... but you are still in Germany, so not unless you have found a wall there (how apt or once apt anyway).

Coffee and weird cake here between walking, big gym-ing, more walking ... and yoga. Day off tomorrow when I will continue to grapple with EDF and E.ON, energy idiots par excellence.

Rugby training obvs acceptable, Raemond. Even if it is not my ball game of choice ;-)

I believe you are Welsh, and therefore excused.

Speaking of BALLS, the last exercise in my upper body workout was Extended ball slams.

'Go right up onto your toes to extend and slam the ball down. Keep the back neutral when lifting the ball.'

Without going out into the main track area the only two balls in the gym were a smallish (2 kilo?) one with a handle that wouldn't bounce at all and one too big for smallish me - prob 5kg and LARGE. So my ball slams were a bit haphazard to say the least. Pity, cos it's a nice exercise I've only done about once before.

Do you generally rugby train three times a week, Raemond? Am interested! What does it involve?

Opposite of a rest day for me today. Really hard hill session instead.

Next complete rest day is Wednesday, but next non running day is Monday. Just easy running for tmrw and Sunday, though.

I started with a coach in October and I'm loving it. I'm working harder than ever, but my body feels better than ever. It's almost like he knows what he's doing :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Welcome to what may be the least watched, least contributed to, thread ...ever.

It's for everyone (well, me) that thinks real Rest Days are vital and a grand thing in themselves. And for everyone (well, me) who feels that one day at a time DONE WELL is always better than half arsed for-evers.

There will be RULES of course (my ball, my game)
