Disappointingly, "getting a wiggle on" now comes out in the high 15mm range, Sharkie. I used to be able to crack 14mm. But yes, I'm putting a bit of effort into it, and eL Bee! has been walking regularly too and now pulls me along rather than slowing me down.

A year or so ago I walked a flat mile in Dalston as fast as I could and was fairly disappointed by the time it took. Not 'quite 'as fast as Chris HB. I am SO competitive I hate myself! ;-)

^ Interesting. Injured atm, but I've been walking regularly but rarely crack 17mm - and it's v flat N of Liverpool. Been logging walks in a diary [old skool] because I hadn't found that walking could be recorded on FE.

Merry Christmas & Happy New G(rrr)
Think I posted earlier but in the Tracking Total Training Time thread we count "B*gger All" or less facetiously, "Rest", "Meditating", "Stretching", "Researching Future Races" etc. as "training time".

Esp good for those who are injured, or those mindful of avoiding injuries! All welcome.

Realise it might be anathema if you are looking to totally "switch off" from tracking anything. But come say hi if you fancy.

I walk quite slowly compared to many on here (according to Garmin when I track anyway!). I have had to shorten my stride considerably with the PHT issue which may have something to do with it.
I have done yoga and strength as promised, and a very gentle amble with my Mum :)

I believe in walking slowly. If I have time to walk why would I rush ? :-)

I was disciplined with my rest day yesterday. Just the dog walk and an unavoidable steady trek up a steep SHORT Hastings hill back to the CAR.

I now need to sort out how to combine 30 days of yoga, my sprints and jumps sessions and whether I do the (ahem) Jennis 30 day challenge..... Ms.Ennis is a big believer in scheduled rest days though, so I should be alright.

Am determined to hit the hard days hard enough and the rest days, er, resty - enough.

Another rest day today. I've been for a spa day! It was a Christmas present my SIL couldn't use so she gave it to me. It was very relaxing but I need to go and sleep for a while now

So the relaxing was, er, relaxing but not restful? Or something? ;-)

Well, I had to concentrate while I was alternating between sauna and hot tub, and they woke me up after I fell asleep during the treatment ;-)

About This Thread

Welcome to what may be the least watched, least contributed to, thread ...ever.

It's for everyone (well, me) that thinks real Rest Days are vital and a grand thing in themselves. And for everyone (well, me) who feels that one day at a time DONE WELL is always better than half arsed for-evers.

There will be RULES of course (my ball, my game)
