Have to say I've been really unimpressed with their drip-feed of info and late communications. Every time they've given a window for something to arrive it's landed either right at the end of the window, or afterwards. It's been 11 years since I last ran London but I don't remember the info being this patchy - perhaps because they had to do it all by post and therefore be more organised earlier!

They might not want spectators, but I think that's an unrealistic hope. With the daft drop bag procedures I think they're more likely to end up with more spectators as all the none locals will need someone to look after the overnight stuff for them. Lucky they don't run a brewery.

I'm glad I'm not doing the virtual as the app needed for that still hasn't been released. I'd be wanting to test it before race day, ideally this weekend but that's not going to happen as it will be "sometime this week" according to VLM socials.

Spideog Sep 2021 5:56pm, 25 Sep 2021 1,201 posts	0 Spideog Have always been impressed with the organisation of London Marathon through the years and getting most things pretty spot on and never a huge amount of complaints to be made over the day, this year (even allowing for global pandemic) they have dropped in my estimations of their abilities or if any of the team have ever had anything to do with running or organising a marathon before.
