GimmeMedals, looks like you had great conditions. It pissed down all day for me and parts of my course, which was a 26 mile loop, were flooded. One deep wading required. Mostly walked in 6:42.

The app did have an issue in that the process to start the app wasn't that well thought out! There was a "start" button/option....but that didn't start the activity. The actual "start" button on my phone was hidden until I scrolled down the screen.. As I wasn't going for a time I just checked it was started before I set off, but I can see how it was easily missed. I actually quite liked the app, and I was amazed how little battery it used compared to the rare occasion I use strava on my phone (the distance when using strava on my my phone is always out compared to what my Garmin would say, too).

Yeah, they could have warned us about that although given the reported distance inaccuracies I am quite happy I just went by garmin

I couldn't have hoped for better weather, Groundhog! The forecast is still saying it's raining here, but it isn't.

I had perfect weather too - ran with the wind on my back and most of the time the sun was out so I had to rethink what I was wearing - shorts it was :-)

I wore shorts too. I figured they are easier to deal with when it rains and the rain drips from the bottom of a waterproof onto the garment below. I hate soggy trousers.

4.01.52 for me in the rain, mud and wind! Really happy with that as significantly tougher course than London. Feet submerged at mile 10 but thankfully no blisters or chafing from the rain. Think I'm going to target 3:45 for the real London next year 😃
