Torti - just read your blog. Doesn’t sound as though your run was as much of a virtual as most though. I have a similar opinion about the various virtual races - but then I rarely keep race medals. If collecting bling is your sort of motivating thing I can see why they might appeal - especially this year - but it doesn’t do it for me.

All went reasonably well for me. I was aiming for McDonald’s for my finish and since I needed to go a bit further to get it after the app said I’d finished, I cheekily kept going and managed to bag the Ultra badge for my 27 miles recorded. I’ll do a proper one one day 😉 I’ll blog something this evening but my run is fetcheveryone.com/t-18148809 As Binks once said, it’s a masterclass in pacing 🤦♂️ But that’s fine. Fairly happy with the time and didn’t hurt anything too badly. Oh, and I had a good experience with the app. It only disagreed with my watch by 0.1 miles... apart from the missing first 0.1 because like many people I didn’t realise there was a hidden second start button! But I like the short audio snippets, it helped tick off the miles. |

Finally found the bleeding email at the 29th time of looking. I’d looked in every sodding folder and done a search on them all honest! Anyway, manual evidence submitted with a screenshot of my Garmin Connect page. You could do it via Thanks for the tips of which email contained the elusive reference, Fetch wins again. |

LMH: No, it was very social and un-virtual thankfully. I threw loads of medals away this year. Wonder if the marathon medals will get their normal prices on eBay this year? Be interesting to see. I sold mine in 2014 for £80. |

Haven’t looked back at the messages on this thread yet but I finished in just under 8 hours and it didn’t rain as much as I feared. Well done everyone who has finished!

I've just uploaded my time as my app didn't connect and showed I'd walked zero miles! Hope they verify it.

I’ve just had a text confirming my finish time as measured by tag heuer. Didn’t know they made garmins.

Me neither Pikelet. I don't think there'll be much demand this year unfortunately Totri. They will jenny. I just had the same silly text Baz. Well done Frag. Unfortunately I can see them repeating this - it's got to be a great moneyspinner. |
