I was glad it stayed dry all the time and the sun was out this morning. It looked like rain this afternoon, so I got the last 2 miles done to try and beat it, but then the sun has come out again and the rain hasn't materialised. I had to do about 26.6 miles before the app agreed I'd finished, but that was fine. When I did VMLM in 2014, I ended up running more than 27 miles according to Garmin.

The rest of us stayed together until about 17 when another two went off and I stayed with Rachel who was doing her first marathon (mad). I made her run-walk evil grin We finished in about 6:40 but her app was 0.25 behind our watches so we made sure it would show 26.2. My watch showed 26.6 Never stopped raining and the wind was really fierce.

Pikelet Oct 2020 3:34pm, 4 Oct 2020 3,852 posts	0 Pikelet No trace of an email anywhere with a registration number. Silly really when you have to submit it via the App which you log into with a different number. I have emailed them but feel completely gutted.

minardi Oct 2020 3:34pm, 4 Oct 2020 5,924 posts	0 minardi According to the app, I did 26.2 about a tenth of a mile before garmin said I had done it - obviously I went by what my garmin said. I’ve just checked and apparently I did it 7 minutes slower on the app than the garmin, even though the app finished me before the garmin. Go figure.

I wasn't aiming for any sort of time and did loads of walking as planned. I thought the motivational chat on the app was quite fun. I'm now enjoying a sausage roll.
