Does anyone know how to register the run from Garmin. My app paused after less than a mile and I didn’t know until 7 miles in. Got my watch but to log it you need registration number which I can find on my email 😢

I loved it! 4.46 elapsed time on the app, 26.5 miles on the garmin and a bit more (see below!) to eventually get my official finish! Had some lovely friends run with me for the first 15, which was far further than I expected to run, then a couple of us jogged to find a clubmate who was walking laps locally to cover the distance and so walked a few miles with him. Then with 20 on the watch, I adopted a run-walk strategy for the last few alternating miles to get me to where the boys were so they could run the last bit with me. Music helped on those later solo miles and it went really quickly. I can definitely say I enjoyed every mile, even the ankle deep puddle at 23 miles on the racecourse, which I couldn't avoid without a massive detour for which I didnt have the time or inclination! Ran 26.5 on the garmin at which point the audio (which I switched back on at 24 miles once I knew the app was behind garmin on distance by some way!) told me I'd completed the marathon so I stopped the garmin and we had finish photos, I saved the garmin etc. Only to open the app and find it still saying 26.11 miles and not letting me finish! So I jogged the final 0.1 along the road to get the app to finish, when it told me again I'd completed the race and wasn't I wonderful 🤣. Hope everyone has had a great day, well done to all finishers so far. |
