I was up and out for 4:30am as I was expecting it to take at least 6:30 hours on the back of little to no training. Just about managed a slow plod to 20 miles and then rallied to run the last 1.2 to finish in 5:37:13. Slowest marathon I’ve done but great fun and great to be down and dusted just after 10am!

Some great finishers. Still work in progress here. Still raining and onto my 3 set of clothes. Had to go for an extra layer as I was feeling cold.

I passed a virtual marathoner on the bypass cycle path this morning, no. 20094. I gave her a cheer and thumbs up and got a smile back in return. It was a bit grim out there, I was glad to be only out for an hour or so. I'll have to look her result up on the app later.
