I've tweeted it to Athletics Weekly as I know plenty of clubs do their draws around now, and if they are only going to get 4 instead of 5 for example it would be courteous for VLM to let clubs know there is a risk they might not get as many places as they were led to believe. It could be entirely innocent - "reviewing" might mean "checking" just to make sure they've got it all right (e.g. included all clubs, got latest membership data etc etc). Or it might not... |

They might be getting more championship and good for age entries which they have to let in as they have already applied. If ea membership is also up, that could mean they risk letting too many people in to the marathon, hence club membership places are 'under review'. We might find out they need over 150 members to get a second place. |

I think the max was reduced from 5 to 4 a few years ago? But yes, if they are reducing numbers further it's discourteous and unprofessional to leave it so late to notify clubs.

I'm now fearful that my 31s inside GFA for 2019 entry may well not be enough based on there statements about the number of GFA entrants influencing this decision... virginmoneylondonmarathon.com |

And it doesn't say adult club members, but the form to apply for a place does ask for the number of members over 18. For our club (very small senior club membership, lots of juniors) this would mean we wouldn't get allocated a place which would mightily pee-off the guy who was selected this year I think!!
