For about 18 month, when I was a kid, we lived in Saltdean, near Brighton, home of the wonderful Saltdean lido. It was saved from development by a CIC and is now open again.

GH - seen that photo on the Otley Lido Facebook page however it's definitely Grange-over-Sands lido in the pic? On one of the other photos on the group you can see Morecambe Bay behind it. They also have a group trying to restore it.

We used to go to Uxbridge Lido, Art Deco thing, that was after Vale Farm was closed, also 1930s with a huge fountain you sat in....both West London.

Stonehaven outdoors pool has just reopened after extensive repairs. Heated salt water. It’s a bit weird. Lovely, but a bit weird. :)

Two new Feature requests for Lidos:

fetcheveryone.com/featurerequests-open.php#feature1141 (to log an OWS location as 'lido')
fetcheveryone.com/featurerequests-open.php#feature1142 (to be able to edit previous OWS locations, if Feature 1141 is approved)

If you head to the Cotswolds don't miss the Sandford Parks Lido, sandfordparkslido.org.uk in Cheltenham Grade II listed Art Deco gem. 50m pool plus a children's pool in well maintained grounds.

There's also the lido in Stroud everyoneactive.com - not as good as Cheltenham's but better than nothing and

Cirencester's little open air pool cirenopenair.org.uk

I'm biased but Sandford lido in Cheltenham is the best of the three :-)

Here's Shoalstone, Brixham, Devon. I spent many an hour down here as a kid, especially in the summer. Not in this pic, but there's some buildings to the side (cafe, changing rooms etc) with flat roofs and we used to sunbathe on them, but not allowed any more. Lots of rock pooling, and general messing around down there.

Obviously it's right by the sea and gets a lot of damage. There is a community group that is trying to maintain it, but this pic was taken middle of May :(

Some info about it here.
