Aberbeeg appears to have moved from a start date of 20th October when the link was first posted on here and now says 3rd November - any idea why? It is actually starting this weekend and they want to keep it quiet maybe?

it only has 6 registrations, so unless they are looking for a really really soft start, I'd say Nov 3 is the more likely start date. I doubt you could be deliberately misleading on official event pages - could you?

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
