Hi Kev, Reading and Woodley are covered by Wokingham Council. Prospect is under Reading Council. Dinton will be under Wokingham Council, ie 3 'Wokingham' parkruns. It doesn't make much difference at all, but you speak to different people and Wokingham council are very parkrun-friendly and have been really helpful when setting up Dinton.
Anyway, as mentioned before it would be good if we don't get swamped on Event 1 and people leave it a while before visiting. We want to keep on good terms with the other people that use the park so there are no complaints or incidents.

No more test events local although the core team will be running around the course practicing set up and doing final tweaks until launch.
If anyone has any more questions by all means fmail me and I’ll answer if appropriate.
If you want to run Dinton Pastures parkrun please be considerate and visit when the local park users have gotten used to us being in the park at 9am on a Saturday.
If you are going to be a regular at Dinton then please consider opting in for volunteer emails when the event is live.
Anybody wanting to help out just fmail me and I can add you to the next or future rosters.

Perhaps that post should be put in the sidebar with 'an inaugural' put in place of DP.

Dinton is about half an hour from me, so I will put it on the "to visit " list and go later in the year when it has settled down. Sounds like an interesting course.

Well done for putting your head above the parapet and being ED CW. I think our local ED has run 6 times at our event despite it taking place over 250 times, and only parkrun 13 times in total. I couldn't imagine being that inextricably linked with parkrun, and yet rarely running it myself! I'm sure that's not a model ever ED follows, but the commitment of him and his team to putting it on for everyone else to enjoy is immense!
