The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Analysis on the FB parkrun statsgeek group states 139 locals, 152 from Kesgrave, 112 from Ipswich. Publicised locally pre-event rather that soft/secret launch.

(I reckon that, as long as the course can handle, it 150-300 is about the ideal parkrun participant number.)

Interesting :-) Place I must have passed by, but never actually been. Think it might need a soft launch, because it is somewhere with parkruns in all directions (though none particularly close).

Given parkrun Towers' recent missive to core volunteers, I will only name one of the other events not yet mentioned that's about to go live. I do so with a clear conscience, on the basis that Kirkwall in Orkney is unlikely to be overrun by inaugural hunters or regulars from 'neighbouring' events. :)

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
