I may still see if there is anywhere north of Knaresborough between the A1 and the A61

I've given up on the idea of getting to the start and the finish on Stage 1 but what's the chances of seeing the race in or near Skipton and also getting to see the finish? Also from Skipton where would be good to go for Stage 2? Are we arranging a tour Fetch point anywhere?

Drop me a message and I'll send you the address. Happy to host a Fetchpoint just by Skipton on Stage 1.

I think you may struggle to get anywhere near the finish for stage 1 if you wait until they're past Skipton - there is a lot of talk of a huge number of cyclists heading straight from Leeds to Harrogate after the start on top of any intending to just be in Harrogate, so I expect getting there later on may be difficult. A better option may be to be around Addingham or Skipton for the first part, and then head up to Ripon/Ripley via Pateley Bridge, unless you're on a bike in which case more options may be available. Addingham, Silsden or Keighley should be slightly easier than other places to get to on stage 2. The latter two are on a train line from Skipton.
