Right, I have a pitch in a friends mothers farm field in the bowels of deepest Yorkshire, the only issues are that she a, drinks more than I do, and b, lives in a very steep sided valley and Id be ducked before I even got anywhere near any action! I may still see if there is anywhere north of Knaresborough between the A1 and the A61 |

Okay locals! I've given up on the idea of getting to the start and the finish on Stage 1 but what's the chances of seeing the race in or near Skipton and also getting to see the finish? Also from Skipton where would be good to go for Stage 2? Are we arranging a tour Fetch point anywhere? |

Tubbyrunner, we're planning to watch from near Skipton then ride over to somewhere close to the finish (though not actually into Harrogate, I think we'd be in for a disappointment if we tried that) and to go out from Skipton to see Stage 2. Drop me a message and I'll send you the address. Happy to host a Fetchpoint just by Skipton on Stage 1. |

As I'm a Tourmaker I've got my race book with all the times and road closures if anyone wants specific times. I'm Tourmaking between Ripon and Harrogate somewhere and I'm literally counting the minutes now!

How are you intending to get around Tubbyrunner? I think you may struggle to get anywhere near the finish for stage 1 if you wait until they're past Skipton - there is a lot of talk of a huge number of cyclists heading straight from Leeds to Harrogate after the start on top of any intending to just be in Harrogate, so I expect getting there later on may be difficult. A better option may be to be around Addingham or Skipton for the first part, and then head up to Ripon/Ripley via Pateley Bridge, unless you're on a bike in which case more options may be available. Addingham, Silsden or Keighley should be slightly easier than other places to get to on stage 2. The latter two are on a train line from Skipton. |

I'm heading to the bit just north of Harrogate. With everyone else I suspect. The bit I read said 'mass migration of 25000 cyclists from Harewood to Harrogate' (can't remember if I already said that! |
