Froome is their best bet, you don't panic over a couple of bad days. He'll be on the podium as long as he recovers from his crash. Porte is more concerning, but he was ok in the latter half of the Dauphine. |

Sort of agree, contador is in excellent shape, and did very well without his A team (talansky pulled a great one on him all the same), nibbles is a rank outsider. Froome, hmmm, did he get told to back off? Outside the top ten, and the damage done on one stage? Jury's out. I'm not convinced. OPQS will take green over Sagan/Kittel as their train is now firing. Gonna be a great tour! |

Sagan is favourite for green as he can compete for points on stages where Cav and Kittel can't. The Cav vs. Kittel fight will be interesting. |

I'm not convinced Froome backed off, but I'm pretty sure that the performance in that last stage was not the performance of the same rider that rode in the first two stages. Only the crash explains it, if he didn't back off.

Cav v kittel is the greater drama than the green/Sagan issue, but they did look good on the tour de cheese and I have a hunch they will be going all guns blazing for the points jersey. Hope to camp up in yorks for the first two stages, can't wait! |

Yellow bunting in my hometown even though Tour doesn't actually come through. It looks brilliant. Apparently were getting knitted bunting soon too, that look fab. Some great bike related things springing up, saw some fab ones planted with bright flowers today. I've even ordered some yellow bunting for myself, as I'm on a route that will be closed as it's access to Harewood |

I went up jenkin road today (in the car). Should be an interesting finish to stage 2! Far less evidence of the tour in sheffield than leeds. In leeds even off route there is bunting, banners, yellow bikes etc etc whereas in sheffield there was far less, not even many road closed signs considering I was driving down the route. |

Im planning on taking a trip up north on the opening weekend. Any residents of the area have any knowledge how easy it would be to either a, park up near the route and see it, or camp nearby and cycle to the route? (any suggestions welcome!) Is everything booked up? is it all road blocks to prevent the proles getting close? What is everyone else doing? seriously, any info greatly received. |
