Watching the Dauphine, I couldnt help but notice that there has been a few occasions recently where Chris has been left to fend for himself on the upper reaches of climbs by his team mates. Although this may change now that Porte is coming back on form, I couldnt help but thinking that this is where Wiggo would come in handy. His metronomic ascent of the Diablo on the tour of California was as good as ive seen any sky rider climb and he has to be in with a shout at going for the Tour, and is Ritchie back for good, or did he just have a good day yesterday?

hmmmm

I'd agree that Wiggo would be good, but I don't think Froome trusts or even likes him, and won't have him in the team. Porte is strong if in form, but the Tour will be the acid test

Seems everyone is jumping on the Tour bandwagon, this is the most unlikely clothing to go with cycling, but I rather like the pics. metro.co.uk

Porte seems a long way from form, at least in the 'back-up plan' sense, and the fact that Froome still prefers him to Wiggins tells you everything.

I don't know what the etiquette regarding spoliers is on this thread, but today's stage of the Dauphine just makes the TdF so much more exciting a prospect. I think both yellow and white could be thrilling races.

has froome got anything up his sleeve? Albert is off to catch Nibbles.

If wiggo has a good tds, and froomy cocks this up, will wiggo go with his team I wonder?
