The same little bird also says that the 2 day Yorkshire race for next year has got BC approval and is with the UCI at the moment but they will approve as long as ASO are happy. They need some private sector funding which isn't confirmed yet but they're hoping to get it in place after the Grand Depart. It also doesn't as yet have a name but they're working on it.
Some interesting behind the scenes stories about the bid/planning process too.

Just been reading the local newspaper, there's hardly an article that doesn't mention cycling or Le Tour!

Just booked a campsite in Oxenhope for stage 2  Plan is to tourmake/watch stage 1 from home then drive over on Saturday evening once we're done.

Meglet - from Twitter - team sky cars with bikes and police escort spotted approaching Ilkley. Froome was doing a book signing in Manchester at lunchtime so I guess if they ride the routes it may be tomorrow/Sunday?
