Contador's strongest helper is out of the TdF due to passport issues from his time at Astana. The time period for all this investigation is ridiculously long. cyclingnews.com

All sounds a bit odd really.
I suppose that he might have had a deviation in his values, which at the time might have been attributed to training (for instance a period at altitude?), but then a similar event produced different values or the longitudinal analysis demonstrates that his excuse from that time just doesn't fit with his normal results.

In a way its encouraging that they are picking these things up, but it would be wrong if he misses a big race for no reason, and his absence changes the result.
Are we happy with this version of zero tolerance?

Hopefully, they are pretty sure if they've taken this long over it. Also he has had a right of reply before proceedings were initiated so him missing the Tour does seem legit.

In Harrogate they've started setting up the finish area. 7 days to go, stupidly excited!

There's a noticeable increase in cyclists recently, both on the route and nearby. I saw a large group leaving Harewood this morning heading in the direction of stage 1, though none of them looked very prepared for a long day. Three have just sat next to me in Betty's. I've seen a few leaving Harrogate with numerous bottles attached to bikes that might have ridden the route.

Just chatted with the three cyclists. They've done the majority of stage 1, missing out the top loop. Much hillier than expected they said. Loads cycling the route today.
